The Islamic Association of Greater Detroit held its annual family fair and a blood donation drive this weekend. The family fair had many Muslim businesses selling clothes, jewelry and Islamic books. The Banquet hall was home to the merchandise stalls and the basketball court was home to the refreshment stalls. There were all kinds of assorted food items ranging from Biryani to Pan (betel leaf). Children were running around the place eating cotton candy and Ice Creams. Lemonade, fizzy drinks and tea stalls were servicing people who were thirsty. There was also an outdoor barbeque. All in all it made for an enjoyable event.
